Edelweiss Autowerks specializes in Porsche and distinctive European automobiles, with experience spanning dealership service, vintage restoration, and professional motorsports. Our North Shore Concierge gives Chicago-area owners access to that expertise without turning a service appointment into a day trip to Wisconsin.
We collect your Porsche, bring it to Edelweiss, keep you informed throughout the process, and return it when the work is complete.

Tell us about your Porsche and where it’s located. We’ll coordinate collection from your home, office, or storage facility and bring it to Edelweiss in Madison.
Once it’s here, your car is evaluated by a team whose Porsche experience spans dealership service, vintage restoration, and professional motorsports. Our digital inspection process documents what we find with photographs, measurements, technician notes, and clear recommendations, so you can see the condition of the car for yourself and understand what deserves attention now, what can wait, and what is simply worth keeping an eye on.
When the work is complete, we’ll arrange its return to the North Shore.

Experience that’s difficult to replicate. Our team includes experience with Singer’s international aftersales program, Zweck, Kellymoss’ restoration and street-car programs, as well as Porsche-focused independent and dealership service. We’ve worked on everything from 914s to 918s and nearly every era in between. Our team has more than 50 years of combined Porsche repair experience.
We own these cars, too. Half our team currently owns or has owned classic and enthusiast Porsches, including aircooled 911’s, transaxle cars, 914’s, and Boxsters. We understand the difference between repairing an old car and preserving one you intend to keep.
Transport is handled in house: We take care of everything with our own truck, enclosed trailer, and driver. We don’t broker your Porsche to third-party carriers.
Classic Porsches get priority in driving season. The Midwest gives us a limited number of good months. During warm weather, our air-cooled and classic Porsche clients receive scheduling priority so the cars you waited all winter to drive aren’t sitting in a service backlog.
Preservation matters. We use quality parts from trusted suppliers, source period-correct components when appropriate, and pay attention to the details that disappear at ordinary repair shops. That can mean things like ultrasonic cleaning, cosmetically refinishing removed hardware, or replacing an aging hose with the right braided-cloth replacement rather than whatever happens to fit.
You see what we see. Every vehicle receives a detailed digital inspection from an experienced technician, with photographs, measurements, notes, and clear recommendations. While your Porsche is in our care, you’ll hear from us daily, even if there isn’t much of an update.
Your car sleeps inside. Customer vehicles are stored indoors overnight in our secure, modern facility, completed in 2025 and protected by a full fire-suppression system. We also carry substantial garagekeepers and liability coverage appropriate for the caliber of vehicles we service.
Specialist care without dealership economics. Our labor rate remains substantially below North Shore Porsche dealership rates, without sacrificing the experience, equipment, documentation, or attention these cars require.
Selective by design. Edelweiss services roughly 800 vehicles a year, but we are extremely selective about what we service. We reserve our time, equipment, and expertise for vehicles where we know we can provide the level of care their owners expect.

Do I need to bring my Porsche to Madison?
Absolutely not! You don’t even need to leave your house.
Our North Shore Concierge allows us to coordinate vehicle collection and return so you can use Edelweiss without spending your day driving between Chicago and Madison.
What kinds of Porsche service can you perform?
We handle routine maintenance, testing and evaluation, mechanical repair, interior repair and restoration, suspension and brake work, performance upgrades, restoration-oriented repairs, and many of the complex concerns that fall outside the scope of ordinary service facilities.
Do you work on older Porsche models?
Absolutely. Older and unusual Porsche models are a significant part of what we do. Our experience spans vintage restoration, air-cooled cars, transaxle models, and modern Porsche platforms. We don’t just wrench on them, however - most of the team consists of current or former vintage Porsche owners.
Can you work on modified or track cars?
Yes, provided the vehicle and requested work are a good fit for our facility. Tell us about the modifications and how the car is used when submitting your request. Many of our clients see track time with their vehicles.
Do you service cars other than Porsche?
