Welcome to your new auto repair shop.
Your car is picky. That’s fine. We are too.
Edelweiss Autowerks is a European-focused repair shop in Madison for people who care how their car is maintained. We work on everything from daily-driven German sedans to classic Porsches that only see the road when the weather behaves.
If you have ever left a shop feeling unsure about what was done or why it was done, this page is for you.
So What Do You Actually Do Here?
We diagnose problems properly and then fix them correctly.
That sounds obvious, but it is surprisingly rare in our industry.
We handle maintenance, repairs, and complex diagnostics on European cars of all ages, including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Jaguar, and a handful of others that tend to make life interesting. Electrical issues, suspension problems, cooling system failures, strange noises that only happen when it is cold. That kind of thing.
We are especially good at cars that have already been to another shop and are still broken.
Why does Edelweiss Autowerks exist?
For years, Madison had a small number of truly excellent European specialty shops. Many of them were owner-run, deeply knowledgeable, and trusted by generations of local drivers.
Over the last few years, several of those shops closed as their owners reached retirement and chose to finally hang it up. The result was a real gap. European cars did not disappear, but the places equipped to care for them did.
Around that same time, a restructuring at a former employer left much of our team unemployed at once. What we had was experience, training, and a shared belief that these cars deserved better than guesswork or one-size-fits-all service.
So we built the shop we wished existed.
Edelweiss Autowerks combines big-city technical capability with small-town service. Factory-level diagnostics, careful workmanship, and clear communication, all under one roof. Our goal is simple. Give European car owners in Madison a place they can trust for the long term.
How We Work:
We invest heavily in training and factory-level diagnostic tools so we can test instead of guessing. When something needs to be repaired, we will tell you why and what it solves. When it does not, we will say that too.
Most of our work is backed by a three-year, forty-thousand-mile warranty. We are comfortable offering that because we plan to see you again for routine service, not the same repair. We offer all of this at prices lower than local European car dealerships, so there’s money left in your wallet at the end of the service visit.
Who is working on your car?
On average, our team has 3.3 years of education after high school. That number is helped a bit by the technician with a PhD, so full transparency there. Even without that outlier, everyone here has invested real time learning how these cars actually work.
We also own an average of 2.1 European cars per employee. That is not a flex. It just means we live with the same quirks, maintenance decisions, and occasional bad ideas that come with these vehicles. We fix our own stuff too.
That combination shapes how we work. We think about longevity, not just the immediate repair. We notice details because we know how annoying it is when they are missed. And we take responsibility for the outcome because we would expect the same if it were our car.
